OK. I don’t know that he said that at any point, however, I’m making that reasonable assumption. Maybe he was drunk, or high, or just plain confused. But if what’s being published in the news is any indication, he should have both his gay and black cards revoked with extreme prejudice.
Why?
What he’s done has set back the efforts of both the LGBTQ+ and POC communities. It reminds of the story of the boy who cried wolf. (Do parents still tell that parable to their children? Goodness, I hope so, but I’m thinking they probably don’t.) But instead of just crying wolf on himself, he dragged two entire groups of marginalized people into his hot mess. Not cool.
